Pool Waterproofing

We prepare and waterproof pool interiors, working with the existing lining, junctions and selected finish. From investigating water loss to planning membrane installation, our team sets out the work and keeps you informed through each stage.

Pool interior waterproofing and water-retaining surfaces
Pool interior waterproofing is separate from poolside tile installation.
For terraces and coping, view our pool surround tiling service.
Included in your agreed scope
- Pool surface condition and access assessment
- Preparation and system compatibility for the agreed pool lining
- Preparation, junctions and finish only where specified
Continuous immersion and pool membrane compatibility
Pool-interior work covers the water-retaining lining and its junctions. We select the finish with the membrane for continuous water exposure.
Water loss assessment before surface work
Water loss alone does not establish a membrane fault. Describe the change in water level, when it occurs, the current lining and any previous repairs or reports. Plumbing, fittings and other causes may need separate investigation. Do not drain the pool or remove the lining for this enquiry; access and any preparation must first be agreed with the appropriate responsible parties. The written scope identifies the water-retaining surface, junctions, materials, checks and exclusions.
Pool membranes need permanent-immersion suitability
We check that the selected pool membrane is specified for permanent immersion and the actual pool base. Certain polymer-modified cementitious products suit immersed applications, but the category name alone is not approval. We coordinate the membrane with pipe penetrations, joints, tile adhesive, grout and the proposed water-treatment environment. Curing before tiling and curing before filling are separate stages in the selected system.
Pool lining preparation and return to water
- Review the affected area and confirm access, the moisture pattern and suitability.
- Agree an itemised written quote covering preparation, materials, boundaries, finish and exclusions.
- Prepare the accessible base and carry out the agreed work, with checks appropriate to the selected system.
- Explain curing, return to use and care at handover. Timing follows the materials and site conditions.
Pool interior waterproofing and surrounding tiles
Exposed building surfaces are covered separately by external wall waterproofing.
