A timber floor starts with the base beneath it. Existing coverings, surface condition, moisture and floor levels affect the preparation and the installation system. We check the accessible base and discuss any removal or remedial work before laying new boards.
Board dimensions, laying direction and doorway transitions influence the finished appearance. Merbau Decking timber installation on Gouger Street
We installed this interior timber floor on Gouger Street in February 2026 using the material recorded for the project as Merbau Decking. The photographs show the installation in progress and two completed views.
